Our project won the Marie Curie International Outgoing Fellowship
Dr. Federica Franciosi won the Marie Curie International Outgoing Fellowship (IOF), the notice of the PEOPLE of the Seventh Framework Programme, which finances a training period abroad and the return to Europe of young researchers.
The three year project, which will Federica Franciosi principal investigator, under the scientific responsibility of Prof. Alberto M. Luciano, is entitled "Somatic cells regulation of maternal mRNA translation in mammalian oocytes (MateRNA)". The Outgoing phase will take place at the Center for Reproductive Sciences, University of California, San Francisco, directed by Prof. Marco Conti, who will be responsible scientist at this stage while the return phase will be held at the Laboratory of Biology of Reproduction and Development, Redbiolab.
The aim is to study the mechanisms responsible for the correct program of mRNA translation during oocyte maturation.
