Isa Mohammed Alkali obtained a DVM and Master’s degree in Theriogenology at the University of Maiduguri, and currently, he is a Ph.D. student working on vitrification and culture of ovarian tissue in animal models at the Department of Veterinary and Animal Science, University of Milan, Italy. His main interest is the conservation of biodiversity. He visited the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine IVF laboratory, Ghent University, Belgium, with an Erasmus traineeship and the Department of Reproduction and Clinic of Farm Animals, Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences, Poland, with an Academic exchange program. Among the other activities, Isa participated in projects on developing semen extenders and peripartum udder sonography of Sahel goats.
