Biosketch

Maria Plevridi graduated with an integrated master’s degree in biomedical sciences and biotechnology from the University of Ioannina, Greece. During her academic journey, she conducted research at the Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology in France, focusing on cellular plasticity in C. elegans during food deprivation, and gained expertise in microinjection and CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing techniques at the European Institute of Chemistry and Biology. Her academic path nurtured a deep interest in reproductive biology and assisted reproduction technologies, inspiring her to pursue a Ph.D. in the EUROVA program. Her current research project is dedicated to unraveling the role of ROS during oogenesis, and she is committed to advancing the field of reproductive biology and contributing to the progress of assisted reproduction technologies.
