Umberto Angelo Stefano Altamura obtained a degree in Biomedical Laboratory Technologies at the University of Florence, studying the interaction of in vitro cell cultures of the epidermis and dermis with biomaterials (Tissue Engineering) for the treatment of major burn patients at the Laboratory of Prof. Sergio Capaccioli of the University of Florence and at the Regional Reference Center for the Culture of Human Epidermis in vitro and Tissue Cryopreservation Bank(CRREV) of the Grand Niguarda Metropolitan Hospital in Milan. He specialized in “Microscopy” and “Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology” at the University of Florence. He obtained a Master’s in “Genetic-Molecular Pathology” at the University of Siena. Since 2019, he has worked as a Technical Officer at the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences (DIVAS) of the University of Milan – Polo di Lodi, providing cryopreservation of gametes and gonadal tissue, vitrification of oocytes, qualitative/quantitative and morphological analysis of semen and its cryopreservation, preparation of media and sterilization of laboratory material. Collaborates in teaching practical classes.
